When you first see the TicketsToGo site, you might be inclined to think that it looks really old, as if it were designed pre-2000. But don’t let appearances fool you. TicketsToGo is actually a fairly good resource for finding tickets, even if it is a little mediocre compared to other higher-ranking ticket sites.
The most obvious attraction of using TicketsToGo is the pricing. It has some of the cheapest service charges of any site we reviewed. Frankly, paying extra fees matters a lot when you are already spending significant amounts of money on tickets, so cheaper rates are definitely one of the factors that brought TicketsToGo this high in the rankings.
Unfortunately, once you get past the fees, TicketsToGo doesn’t look so good anymore. It is still useful, but the site is hard to navigate. Often, when searching for tickets and when you think you’ve found the link to the team you want to see, you just end up at an article about the team containing dozens of other links that are irrelevant to your ticket search. Fun facts are great, but we’re here to buy tickets! Don’t sidetrack us.
As we mentioned above, TicketsToGo is one of the cheapest places to get tickets because their service charge is only 6% of the ticket price. This is significantly cheaper than most other sports ticket sites. And the shipping fees are fairly average too, coming in at $18.
TicketsToGo doesn’t allow you to arrange will call pickup of your tickets, and you can’t print them either. You’re stuck with shipping solely. You can sell your own tickets on the site, but you can’t auction them off and you can’t change the listing price after you’ve posted the tickets. This lack of user friendly features is what brings TicketsToGo so low on the list.
TicketsToGo appears to use an interface similar to other ticket sites, but the similarities quickly disappear once you start looking for tickets. When you find a team you are looking for, all of a sudden you find yourself looking at an article about them, thinking, “Wait, I thought I was going to get tickets?” Weird detours like this make the site confusing and makes it hard to even get to the buy screen, which is impractical for a site trying to sell tickets.
The support options at TicketsToGo are pretty standard. A FAQ is available for common questions and you can also contact the company through email and phone.
TicketsToGo does a fair job at providing tickets, but a difficult buying process and an overall lack of features makes TicketsToGo a much less attractive option than higher-ranking sites.
